2017 Christmas Party and Presentation

We had the largest turnout for the Christmas Party and presentation night in several years.  A big thanks to those who came, and especially to the Committee for organising it and all those who helped out on the night.

Trophies were awarded to those members who had the highest scores throughout 2017.

Congratulations to:

Ken – Winner of the Centrefire Comp, who scored the most consistent perfect score of 200.  This score includes a shooters handicap. Ken reached the highest score possible more than any other shooter, and also had one of the lowest handicaps.

Lockie – Winner of the Saturday Night Rifle Comps.  Lockie not only runs the regular Saturday Night competition, but also remains our  most knowledgeable and consistently most accurate rifle shooter.

Janice – Winner of the Mayleigh Cup, who scored the most consistent perfect score of 300.  Like the Centrefire Comp, this score includes a shooters handicap.  Janice reached the highest score possible more than any other shooter.

Craig – Winner of the Tuesday Night “multiple disciplines” comps. Tuesday Night comps vary from single target comps, through to Turning Targets and Rapid Pin.  Craig attained the highest score more than any other Tuesday Night shooter throughout the year.

Hamish – Most Improved for the year.  Hamish is one of our Junior Members, and has been a regular participant of the Juniors Nights, run every Monday night.  His instructor has awarded him the Most Improved for his outstanding progress throughout the year.

Ken – Overall winner for 2017.  This award is given for overall competition excellence in multiple disciplines.  Not only did Ken win the Centrefire Comp, but he also came very close to winning the Mayleigh Cup.  Ken also participates in most Club events and comps, and always sets a high bar for those competing against him.

Well done everyone!  We look forward to even greater participation in 2018, and wish all members a Merry Christmas for 2017.
