Permitted Shoots
As a range and club, we are only permitted to allow competitions which we have Police approval for. This goes doubly if you wish for us to sign off on your participation sheets. Such restrictions are the reason that members are only permitted to fire calibers up to .38, with a special exception made for Single Action Only (SAO) revolvers, which may compete in the Single Action Shooting Match (Varmint Shoot) held on Friday nights. Some courses of fire have competitions associated with them, either as a weekly (supervised) competition or as a 'anytime' competition. Anytime competitions require you to record your name, membership details and score on a envelope, and to place the envelope along with a $5 entry fee in the competition box. The following are the official competitions: Air Pistol Match Air Rifle Match Bowling Pin Match (Rapid Fire Pins) Centre Fire Pistol Combined Services Rifle & Pistol Free Pistol IPSC Pistol Mayleigh NRA Pistol Action Match Police & Service Rapid Fire Pistol Rimfire / Smallbore Rifle Match Single Action Shooting Match (Varmint Shoot) Standard Match Pistol Service Pistol Service Pistol - 25 Yards Given time we'll endeavour to add instructions for each of these matches, but the more popular ones should have instruction sheets printed up at the point of sale area in our clubhouse. | Club InformationChat BoxWelcome |
